After a long wait, today at school Becca finally lost her first tooth!! She couldn't be more excited! We're hoping the Tooth Fairy brings some state quarters, since her collection is sparse. Watch this space for updates.
When bedtime rolled around on Tuesday, Becca changed her mind. She was very upset, to the point of tears, and she did NOT want the Tooth Fairy to take her tooth. It was her special tooth, her first tooth, and she wanted to keep it. Dawn tried to reason with her, that if she didn't put the tooth under her pillow, she wouldn't get any money from the Tooth Fairy. New found riches were not enough of an incentive for Becca to give away her special tooth. She and Dawn reached an agreement that they would hide the tooth in a drawer so the Tooth Fairy wouldn't take it accidentally, and they would think of some way to get her money without losing the tooth. In the morning, Becca went to the drawer to find her tooth, and it was missing. Everyone paniced a little, thinking that the Tooth Fairy found it and took it. We looked under the pillow to see if she had left any money, but there was only a note which read: Rebecca, I heard that you lost a tooth today, but I couldn't find it. I will try again tomorrow. Love, T.F. The burning question now was, where is the tooth? After much searching, it was found in Becca's bed. Apparently, she had wandered over in the middle of the night and gotten her tooth for safekeeping. We eventually decided to put the tooth under her pillow last night along with a note for the Tooth Fairy, asking if Becca could have some money but also keep her tooth. The Tooth Fairy was generous with Becca and left her two state quarters (KS & AR) and did not take her tooth.
